Secure Cloud ComputingThe One Point will make the security of your data and computer network a priority. We can secure and manage single and multiple site networks, including mobile device fleets using Mobile Device Management software. We also offer free network security audits so you can discuss your current set up versus your furture requirements.

Firewalls: A firewall is a technological barrier designed to prevent unauthorised or unwanted communications between computer networks or any of its hosts.

Antivirus: Antivirus software is design to prevent, detect and remove dangerous or harmful viruses. Most antivirus software also prevents against other harmful malware such as Trojans, ransomware and worms. Keeping your anti-virus software up to date is a very important component of any network security plan.

Anti-Spyware: Anti-virus spyware software protects your network by firstly scanning all network data traffic and secondly by detecting and removing spyware software on a network or any of its hosts.

Wireless Security: Wireless networks are increasing in prevalence due to their popularity, cost to deploy and the availability of built-in wireless access in devices. There are a number of ways to secure a wireless network however WPA2 (Wi-Fi Protected Access Protocol 2) is the current standard as it it uses an encryption device that encrypts the network with a 256 bit key; the longer the length of key the more secure the WEP.

Email Filtering: Email filtering is the process of inputing the email and checking its contents against pre-set rules or values. This might result in emails being amended or destroyed prior to deliver or sending in order to quarantine any threats to a network or user.

Web Content Filtering: Web Filtering, a little like Email Filtering, protects the network and it users from globally known website that can cause dangerous malware or viruses from being downloaded to your network. There is a variety of real time software solutions that keep their registers up to date (sometimes known as Blacklists) and will scan against these known website and hidden code strings. Content-control software also can determine what content will be available or perhaps more often what content will be blocked.

MDM (Mobile Device Management software): MDM software is becoming critical within organisations that utilise mobile devices to access data, email and files. The main threat comes from lost or stolen items, such as Mobile, Laptops and tablet computers, as these are high value items that are easy to misplace or be stolen.  Also with the increase of BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) policies within the work place employees are bring in their own mobile devices in to use in the workplace.  This in turn creates a potential data protection issues or security risk should a member of staff leave or organisation. MDM functionality is usually deployed over the air distributing apps, smartphones, tablets and POS devices.
