Fake HMRC 2016 Tax Report phishing scam.

A new phishing scam is making its way around the web.

HMRC Have warned that If you get an email with the subject, “Your 2016 Tax Report”, with an attachment, do not open it.

They have strongly advised their customers to lookout for this new phishing scam hidden in malware.

They have advised Some websites, emails or phone numbers can look like they’re part of an official government service or that they provide more help than they actually do.

This might mean you pay for services that you could get cheaper or for free if you used the official government service, for example renewing a passport.
