It is widely believed in the smartphone industry that 9to5 Mac has been leaked the first preview photo of the latest lineup of iPhones expected to be released mid-September 2018.
If this photo is authentic it could validate rumors surrounding the upcoming expected release that the iPhone X will come with a larger screen variant and that there will be an option to go for gold when selecting the color.
Information published by 9to5 Mac suggests that Apple will launch a 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch model of the new iPhone and this will be named iPhone XS. This makes sense as it is in keeping with the history of Apple to use an S in their device naming convention.
9to5 Mac also recently published the statement “We believe that the new 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch iPhones will both be called iPhone XS. We also believe iPhone XS will come in a new gold color option not previously offered on the new design. ”
Additional details of this are yet to be confirmed.
Apple also officially announced when and where it will hold its next big event. This will take place on 12th September at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California. Apple has sent out first invites to this event.
Apple is also expected to reveal a new Apple Watch Series 4 during the same media event.
