It's not every day you get to celebrate with the stars and, on Saturday July 24th it was no different as The One Point teamed up with The Freedom Centre as official media and marketing partners to deliver the Hull Summer Concert 2010.
The unique community concert, which was held at The Freedom Centre, featured great tribute acts from the past 3 decades including Take That, Jon Bon Jovi, Shang-a-lang and Lady GaGa.
Marketing Manager of The One Point, David Bushnell said: "After having successfully built and managed the new Freedom Centre website (www.freedomcentre.info) we were naturally excited to be offered the opportunity to manage such an exciting project. We feel as part of our on-going community investment programme, that this was a great way to show our support."
Other acts included local bands and performances from the local community and proved to be a fun exciting day for the people of Hull.
The One Point were part of a select group of businesses including Sewell Group, Probe, Chevin Housing Group, Morgan Sindall, Paragon Data Services and CPD plc, who sponsored the summer event to help reduce the costs for the community. The generosity of these partners enabled The Freedom Centre to keep all tickets to only £2 each and still deliver a fantastic line-up.
Before the event, The Freedom Centre Business Manager, Richard Moorhouse said "I am delighted with the response we have had from the local business community and our suppliers, without their generosity and support we would not be able to keep the ticket price so low. We hope the event will be one to remember and I am confident the local talent will shine on the big stage alongside the professional acts. The range of acts should cover all tastes which will contribute to a great day for the family.
