Fans of Android devices may be wondering when they will get a chance to get their hands on the new Android Marshmallow OS for their phone. The answer to this question depends on their phone. High-end devices from well-known manufacturers like Sony, Samsung or HTC are almost certain to get the upgrade but will have to wait until late 2015 or early 2016 for this to roll out.
Users of the Nexus will be the first to receive the update, a development version of this is already available to nexus users and it is expected to be the OS for the new nexus 5 and Nexus 6. The latest phones in the Nexus series are expected to be unveiled at tomorrow's Google event on sept 29th along with an announcement for the final version of Android Marshmallow.
Users with older devices, however may never get the upgrade.
