The One Point held its 3rd Corporate Charity Golf Day last Friday to raise funds for our charitable foundation, The One Point Foundation.
Held at the wonderful location of Cave Castle Golf Club in South Cave, the day was attended by several golf enthusiasts from The One Point's team as well as friends and customers invited as VIP guests.
The day started off with a Shotgun Am-Am Start. A yellow peril component meant the teams could select only one or two yellow balls to score more points but also ran the risk of scoring less, adding a thrilling edge to the game.
18 teams participated altogether with prizes for the winners and losers as a motivation for all teams to bring their A-game. The teams also enjoyed refreshments and were welcomed at the halfway house, where they were invited to participate in a darts challenge.
Although the weather was not particularly sunny or hot, many players remarked that this was a blessing and that they enjoyed playing in the conditions. Overall, the event was a great success as players left in high spirits and with fond memories of the tournament.
The day ended with a presentation of prizes for the winners and losers. The big winner of the event, however, was the environment. The One Point Foundation planted a tree for each participant in high-impact locations, including Nepal, India, and Madagascar, where trees grow quickly and have the best environmental impact.
The splendid team at Cave Castle Golf Club provided an excellent experience throughout the tournament. They made all our guests feel welcome, and their hospitality was impressive.
Overall The One Point's 3rd Corporate Charity Golf Day was a huge success; everyone had a great time and enjoyed some quality sportsmanship.
While the prizes for the winners and losers added an exciting edge, the event's contribution to the environment's welfare was a big plus.
