Some important changes are coming up which may affect the use of your Sage solution.
Please note this only applies to Sage 200 customers.
Sage is committed to keeping customers secure - making sure threats are reduced and taking advantage of the latest technology. This means that from time to time they need to upgrade the underlying components of their solutions.
TLS (Transport Layer Security) is a security protocol required for services such as the Sage License Service which is used by the Sage Licensing Service for the current version of Sage 200.
Microsoft are disabling TLS 1.0 / 1.1 which means that the Sage Licensing service for Sage 200 will stop working.
To ensure the continued use of Sage 200 securely, Sage have confirmed that any older versions of Sage will need to upgrade to the latest version which is compatible with the latest TLS version no later than 30 September 2022 *.
If you do not upgrade your Sage 200 to the latest version by 30 September 2022 you will no longer be able to use your Sage 200 solution.
Due to the large number of customers affected by the changes we recommend that you upgrade as soon as possible to ensure that you are using a compatible Sage 200 version before the deadline.
You can see the latest version of Sage 200 in action in a demo that your account manager can arrange for you.
If you would like more information about the changes, give us a call on 01482 420150 or contact your Account Manager.
*Sage reserves the right to bring this date forward should they identify any security risks to customers using TLS 1.0/ 1.1 or if the date Microsoft disables TLS 1.0/ 1.1 changes.
