On June 9th, our TOP team participated in the Hull 10K to raise money for The One Point Foundation, an employee-led organisation that supports local charities and businesses.
Twenty of our team ran the actual race, which went through Hull City Centre. Two others volunteered at water stations and entertained the runners on the route.
Congratulations to James Gemmell, the fastest runner from The One Point, who completed the 10K in 46 minutes and 14 seconds and came 343rd overall.
The One Point Foundation supports a range of local organisations, such as Ladies That Lunch, Run with It, For Entrepreneurs Only, Crohn’s & Colitis, The Hey Smile Foundation, Hessle Theatre Company, Hull Pride, Operation Christmas, North Ferriby Festival, and many more.
The core aim of The One Point Foundation is to impact communities by supporting causes that help improve lives, support the vulnerable, and create opportunities. Our committee is composed of staff members from across our departments, with representatives from Tech, Marketing, and Sales, ensuring that the voices of our team are fairly represented.
The Foundation Ambassadors would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part in the Hull 10K and to those who donated. Your support allows us to help so many deserving charitable organisations and hopefully change the lives of those in our community.
