Last week, the Humber Economic Partnership held a ‚BizEd' Day at the Country Park Hotel, Hessle. The object of the day was to get secondary schools working together, forming a business idea to win a trip for their team to The O2 in London.
The day was attended by over 20 schools from North and South of the Humber and was a roaring success. The day started with an entertaining life story' from Paul Sewell from the Sewell Group. He explained how he got where he has got to in business and put it down to hard graft and belief.
The One Point's team was South Hunsley School. The six members' strong team came up with a Portable Game called the Family Fun Game in a Jar. It did well but unfortunately did not win.
The joint winners were Havelock Academy and Sydney Smith School.
This kind of initiative is a crucial part of The One Points Community Programme that sponsors Localised Charities, Social and Employment Improvement Schemes, Business Educational Programmes, and Community Sporting Initiatives.
