As of October 2025, Windows 10 will no longer be supported. This means that Microsoft will no longer provide free feature updates or security patches for Windows 10 OS devices. By conducting EOL for older systems, Microsoft is able to focus its efforts on maintaining its new systems and not continually upgrading old ones that are below a specific standard.
For Windows 10, the cutoff will begin in October 2025, meaning those with outstanding devices that still run on Windows 10 will no longer be security compliant and may experience a decline in performance.
Continuing to use a product once the End of Life has hit could cause the following effects on your operations.
Security: Without security patches, your systems are vulnerable to cyber threats.
Compliance: Running unsupported software often breaks industry standards and regulations, you will be required to keep everything up to date to remain compliant.
Performance: Due to your devices' capabilities, you may notice your system running slower and operation productivity declining.
The next step that your business is required to take is to upgrade the identified devices. Now, depending on the quality of your current PCs, you have two options.
You can upgrade to higher-quality software for devices with plenty of life left and are compatible with Windows 11. If you are unsure whether your PC meets the requirements, please get in touch, and we can take a look for you.
Alternatively, if your machines are older and do not support the Windows 11 upgrade, your business will need to purchase new devices to avoid the Windows 10 EOL.
Our team can work with you to source replacement devices, or for those devices where an upgrade is possible, our tech team can remotely upgrade your devices to Windows 11.
