Every year, the team at The One Point works hard to bring festive cheer to children in need around the world. This year, we are celebrating our 10th year of shoebox packing tradition for kids who may not get a Christmas gift otherwise. This is part of the Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Packing initiative. Read on to find out more about how we helped spread Christmas joy this year!
The boxes are packed as an alternative to buying and distributing corporate gifts.
Our shoeboxes are filled with toys, personal hygiene items, stationery and puzzles for 50 girls and 50 boys. We then sent the boxes off one of the many drop of points around the UK to be distributed to locations around the world. In previous year we have found out our boxes have been sent to kids in places such as Nigeria, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Belarus and Albania.
This is The One Point’s tenth year of packing shoeboxes for these children and it feels so wonderful that we have been able to keep up this tradition even during difficult years such as when we moved premises and during the pandemic lockdown periods. We are truly proud of our team for their efforts every single year!
We’d also like to thank our partners n3i and think360 who also contributed this year, who donated their time a well as extra gifts for the boxes.
At The One Point, we strive to make a positive difference in our community but that mission is especially important over Christmas when people are in need more than ever before. We are so proud of our team for coming together once again this year and making 100 shoeboxes full of gifts for 50 boys and 50 girls who likely would not have received anything otherwise. We hope that these gifts bring some joy into their lives this holiday season!
