We support Liam 'The Barton Bomber' Burke for Cancer Research

The One Point Foundation has supported Liam 'The Barton Bomber' Burke as he challenged himself to complete the Ultimate White Collar Boxing challenge to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

The Challange involved Liam Burke, Broadcast Radio Ltd Commercial Director, signing up to complete an intensive 8-week training schedule. This training was in preparation for an actual fight at a black tie boxing event alongside other amateur boxers who started out, like Liam, with no boxing background.

When The One Point Foundation committee heard about the fundraising efforts of Liam they were impressed with his commitment and wanted to help out as well as support a very worthy cause.

Ultra White Collar Boxing is a unique opportunity for people with no boxing background to experience the wonderful world of boxing, in a safe and enjoyable environment. Raise money for Cancer Research UK and Get In Great shape!

Cancer Research UK is a Charity committed to beating cancer by funding scientists, Doctors and nurses and by providing information to the public. They believe that one day everyone will beat cancer and the more research they do, the sooner that day will come.

Liam completed his fight on the 23rd of June at the Scunthorpe Baths Hall.

Liam continues to raise funds from his Just Giving page to reach his £999 target.
