We are on TOP of the World!

IT'S not every day you get to hold that famous golden trophy but today The One Point staff got their hands on the official Hull and East Yorkshire World Cup Trophy.

In the build up to this summers 2010 FIFA World CupTM , a variety of key businesses and organisations in the local region have teamed up to bring you the very first Hull and East Yorkshire World Cup.

TOP are key sponsors of the event, which is to take place on Saturday 22nd May and is being held at Hull University's Sports Ground on Inglemire Lane. TOP's Managing Director, Martin Lauer said: "The One Point are delighted to be working with the Goodwin Development Trust in this fun and exciting event. Hull is an exciting and passionate city particularly when it comes to football and to bring all areas of the community together in such an event is something that we can be very proud of."

What is hoped to be the start of a series of annual festivals celebrating the unique ethnic mix of Hull and East Yorkshire, this celebratory event will be centred around a football tournament contested by 16 national teams, each representative of a national community that is resident in the city and region.
